“Cookies” Policy for the RATMON.com website

This Policy concerns “cookies” files and applies to websites operated by: RATMON Sp. z o.o., hereinafter referred to as RATMON. RATMON informs that it uses cookies technology on its websites, i.e., text files, so-called cookies, to record information about which pages the user visited and what they did on them.

What are “cookies”?

By “cookies,” so-called “cookies,” one should understand IT data, in particular text files, stored on users’ terminal equipment, intended for the use of websites. These files allow the user’s device to be recognized and the website to be displayed appropriately, tailored to their individual preferences. “Cookies” usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the terminal device, and a unique number.

What do we use “cookies” for?

We use “cookies” in order to: • adapt the content of the Service’s websites to your preferences and optimize the use of websites; in particular, these files allow the Service User’s device to be recognized and the website to be displayed appropriately, tailored to their individual needs

• create statistics that help understand how Service Users use websites, which allows for improving their structure and content

• RATMON enables other entities to use the cookies mechanism on its pages. These are entities providing “so-called social plugins”: Facebook, Youtube, Google

What “cookies” do we use?

Two fundamental types of cookies are used within the websites: “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s terminal equipment until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). “Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s terminal equipment for the time specified in the cookie file parameters or until they are deleted by the User.

The following types of cookies are used within the websites:

• “necessary” cookies, enabling the use of services available within the websites, e.g., authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the websites

• cookies used to ensure security, e.g., used to detect fraud in the field of authentication within the websites

• “performance” cookies, enabling the collection of information on how the websites are used

• “functional” cookies, enabling “remembering” the settings selected by the User and personalizing the User interface, e.g., in terms of the selected language or region from which the User comes, font size, website appearance, etc.

• “analytical” web analysis cookies allow for a better understanding of how users interact with the content of the websites in order to better organize our site’s layout. They collect information about how visitors use our site, the type of page from which users were redirected, and the number of visits and the time of users’ visits to this site. This information does not record specific personal data of the user but serves to develop statistics on the use of the site in an aggregated manner. For this purpose, we use the solution Google Analytics

• “advertising” cookies, enabling the delivery of advertising content to Users more tailored to their interests.

• Cookies from independent companies located on the Operator’s websites:

Google Analytics – web analysis cookies collect information about how visitors use our site, the type of page from which users were redirected, and the number of user visits and the time of the visit to this site. This information does not record specific personal data of the user but serves to develop statistics on the use of the site in an aggregated manner.

YouTube – videos and links to videos from YouTube may be located on websites operated by the Operator. As a result, when browsing a page with embedded content from YouTube or provided under links, the user may encounter cookies from these services.

Adobe Flash Player – animations in Flash technology are used on the website. Flash Player software uses local shared objects or Flash cookies to enable the user to use functions such as auto-restore or saving user preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the user’s device in the same way as standard cookies but are managed differently from the browser level.

Personal data collected using “cookies” may be collected solely for the purpose of performing specific functions for the user. Such data is encrypted in a way that prevents access by unauthorized persons.
